There are some times, where you just know you're right. It doesn't matter whether you know something as simple as "you'll singe your eyebrows off if you carry on with that experiment", "you'll regret sleeping with her when you wake up in the morning", or something as important as "you'll be bogged down in bloody conflict for years if you start bombing that oil-producing middle-eastern nation" - if you're that confident of your answer you need to do something about it.

Nothing beats the satisfaction of authoritatively letting someone know that "I told you so", when they go ahead and do it anyway. Of course, it doesn't nessecarily change anything, but you do get to prove that you were right, they were wrong, and next time they should bloody well listen to you.

This site enables you to do just that. If you're in a situation where you know a statement you have made will be proved correct, you can make a record of it here. The site will store the exact date and time you made the statement, and when the time comes, will allow you to send an email proving what you said, and when you said it. It's impossible to change a statement once you've made it, or alter the date in any way - so your recipient will know you were right without a shadow of a doubt!

To make a prediction, just click the 'make a prediction' button at the top of the page. If you do not already have one, you will be asked to create an account and supply a password so that you can later come and make good on your prediction. You can also access this service through WAP on your mobile phone, for those urgent off-the-cuff predictions where you don't have time to get to a computer. - Great for those heated debates at the local watering hole! Your details will never, ever be given out to anyone else (except, of course, the recipient of your prediction when it comes time to send it). Here at i-told-you-so.org we get enough spam already, and know what it's like to get too much unwanted email. We will never even contact you unless you specifically request it. There are some sites like this that exist solely for the purpose of harvesting email addresses but we promise we're not one. This site was simply set up because we're those perverse kind of people who enjoy setting up web pages!
